Is there a recommended gell or liqud to use on the electrodes/strap to get the best signal? I wet mine with a lick before running but still seem to get not perfect data….

In my experience a “poor signal” message can be fixed by cleaning the metal contacts between the HRM pod and the strap. Specifically, I use contact cleaner and fix just one press stud at a time, which I then rotate to clean the surfaces. Contact cleaner may not be required, but it’s there that the problem manifests rather than between strap and chest.

I’ve lost/misplaced two of the usb weatherproof plugs since receiving my frontier 2x in the last 10 days.
where do I find replacements or better yet what is everyone doing to prevent loss?-
Hi Pete,
There’s no need to worry about the rubber plugs. Even without them, your Frontier X2 will still be waterproof and fully functional. You can continue using your device without any concerns.

I have linked my frontier x2 to my garmin watch. Do I need to still bring my phone out with me on a run to get all relevant data are does my watch upload it to the Frontier app after finishing and saving to watch?

Hi Philip. You can use electrode gel for better conductivity. However, some of our users have reported electrode gel could be slippery thus causing the strap to slip down while recording. We would not recommend the use of electrode gel for very rigorous activities and would suggest you use water.
