Notice that my Resting HR is around 44 is this normal for a 35 year old male running around 12 miles per week?

If your heart rate is dipping into the low 20’s when you sleep you should see a cardiologist. The most fit cyclist who ride the tour have RHR in the upper to low 30’s and they have incredible fit hearts. I’m not sure if your cardiovascular fitness but those numbers sound like they should be further investigated.

If I carry out a high intensity workout and follow it up the next day with a gentle low exertion endurance cardio exceise, will my heart rate naturally be lower than after a day when wasn’t high intensity included 🤔😁

Not normal. But not bad. I’m 42 and have resting of 35 bpm. Sometimes down to 22 when a sleep. NSR at rest is 60-100. There will always be outliers
