    • it depends on why you were told not to run. I can’t see any reason for omitting easy endurance runs (<Z2) assuming you have no health issues. weights will ultimately make you faster and as you get into your 50s and beyond they are vital to maintain muscle mass.

    • Read Chi Running to fix your form and avoid skeletal pains, read 80/20 running to pace yourself correctly.

    • You can do it! I have, after a heart attack at 46! Blessings.

    • I’m back to running in my late 60’s after quadruple bypass. I did fly to Cleveland (Mecca for Heart issues) and my cardiologist, Dr Singh, is in the Sports cardiology department there. We do tele-med sessions plus an annual onsite. No reason not to run, but do it right. Try books : 80/20 running and Chi Running.

  • Post new cold variant going around my heart rate is sitting lower than normal but showing me a higher max heart strain score on back-to-back super easy rides.
