  • I just received mine. Is there a way to record ecg all day?

    • Yeah to record all day all you have to do is double press the button on the bottom of your monitor and let it record. Then double press again at the end of the day.

      • It seems very coarse reviewing it on the phone even for an 8 hour session, it looks like selection of the window view requires tapping on the small window showing the full time and no apparent way to step in small increments.
is it meant primarily for review only on a computer beyond sessions of more than a few minutes?

  • Dear Friends, My age is 48 years. With self-training I started running. I am currently running at 10.1 KM per hour for 20 minutes and then do brisk walk for 10-15 minutes at 7.5 KM per hour. Is it sufficient for my goal of being fit cardio wise and weight wise? How to increase the duration of my running?

    • Any activity is progress toward your cardio and weight control (along with diet and rest). So congrats on doing that. As you progress you should be able to increase. But you may want to look at adopting a training plan that can help you get to a specific speed/time goal if that’s what you are looking for. .

  • Hi all, can any members help me identify which Garmin watches use BLE? I’m looking for a new watch but the Garmin website doesn’t state if the watches are BLE compatible or not?

I’m trying to connect my 735xt but I can’t seem to get a Bluetooth connect so assume it’s not BLE compatible?

    Hope you can help.

    • I’m using a Garmin Marq Athlete Gen2, works perfectly well with the FrontierX2. Something to note though, is that the X2 only broadcasts heart rate data to the watch when it’s running a live activity. I’ve just taken a look at the release date of the 735xt, and it’s circa 2016? I think it might only be ANT+.

    • A useful resource when looking for a new Garmin (BLE compatible) watch. ‘Watches That Broadcast Heart Rate Data via Bluetooth’. https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=Zj1947s6pqAHzBCAhLhrC9

    • I have a GarminEPIC Gen2 And it is synced with my Frontier x2

    • Garmin fenix 6 pro works fine but very expensive !

  • When recording an activity… what specifically does “other rhythm” mean (apart from the obvious) ?
I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather for three days, coming down with a cold / virus and have had some palpitations, but I’ve noticed I am getting fairly large chunks of other rhythm (yellow) on low intensity activities like walking or at rest ?…Read More

    • It could be where the monitor cant determine a rhythm due to poor quality. As can occur due to movement, poor contact etc

    • I’ve noticed this also. All of my activities show at least 50% “other”.

    • I get approx 10% “other” in all my activities (been using the Frontier X for 2 years now). I am assuming it’s normal to have minor ‘blips’ or single input deviations.

  • Loving the sensor and the app. Only a week into it but very useful. Can anyone recommend a source of info for a layman’s guide to ECGs ? Thanks

    • Yes! The most Basic EKG book published is by Dale Dubin and it’s called Rapid Interpretation of EKG’s.
