The vertical black line on your Heart Rate graph indicate that you have pressed the Frontier X/X2 button down while recording an activity. This helps you mark that time for anything significant such as lap times, symptoms or anything else you would like to come back to. You can better understand the markings on your graph by clicking on the info buttons on the dashboard! Hope this helps.
