Does anyone know how the heart rate monitor determines heart rate zones? Is it done by Max heart rate and then percentage of that? Also does anyone know if you could change the heart rate values for the zones?

I suspect so. I know you can adjust your max and resting under settings. While I haven’t seen anywhere I cam adjust the zones themselves, I have adjusted the vibration alerts to the upper and lower limits where I personally want my exercise HR. My own makeshift HR zone.

Heart strain metric does not necessarily increase with intensity of exercise and reflects only if the heart is overstrained. Most individuals have values between -0.1 -to 0.1 which is normal.
