  • Does everyone throw at least a little bit of “other rhythm” at least some of the time? I’m trying to figure out what is normal and what is not normal. Do we have any resources to have somebody explain what this is?

    • The Frontier X Heart Rhythm feature helps detect any heart rhythm deviations from Normal Sinus Rhythm (the typical rhythm of the heart). Beyond identifying the presence of other rhythms, it also helps you understand the duration, frequency and occasions when these rhythm changes occurred. Please note that Heart Rhythm does not capture all aspects…Read More

    • I seem to get between 20 and 40% “other rhythm” every time I run. I’m also wondered if this is normal.

      • Thank you for your query. To better understand the data and assist you with this, we can offer you a complimentary session with one of our heart coach experts.

You can schedule the session using the following link: https://fx-complimentarysession.paperform.co/

        • I wouldn’t worry about this as you cannot expect good Sinus Rythmn when your heart rate goes up. It’s highly unlikely it will be AF unless the heart rate and heart strain is bouncing about all over the place.

      • Hi James – the ‘%other’ figure is not a particularly useful one, in my opinion, It simply says that ‘x%’ of 20 second sections of your recording have an ectopic beat. I just did the maths on a one hour recording of mine – a walk where the average heart rate was 90 and the ‘%other’ was 10%. The number of ectopic heart beats in that hour, that could…Read More

    • You just need to start your unit with click the blue button twice to start it. And twice to end it. Then sync the session with the app.

    • better to initiates the session with the phone app , once it is going you can turn the phone app off as the battery of the device and your phone are taxed by the continuous sync. so if I use the iPhone on while I do an activity it u I get approx 24 hours from the X2, if I initiate it from the app the close the app on iPhone I get considerably more…Read More

    • Hi Philip. You can use electrode gel for better conductivity. However, some of our users have reported electrode gel could be slippery thus causing the strap to slip down while recording. We would not recommend the use of electrode gel for very rigorous activities and would suggest you use water.

    • Try the gel used for TENS machines. Easily obtainable and not expensive.

    • In my experience a “poor signal” message can be fixed by cleaning the metal contacts between the HRM pod and the strap. Specifically, I use contact cleaner and fix just one press stud at a time, which I then rotate to clean the surfaces. Contact cleaner may not be required, but it’s there that the problem manifests rather than between strap and chest.
