Nearly 5 months since my AFIB ablation. Feeling stronger and going longer on runs/bike rides. I had daily episodes of AFIB prior to the surgery, but zero since the procedure in June; life-changing improvement. HR is still low (resting 40 bpm) and still on Dofetilide (Tikosyn)…which i’m hoping explains the low (20-25 ms) HRV.

I’ve noted that I have some
high QTC readings. They are shown on the associated graph with an O. I wore my device overnight whilst sleeping and noted my average QTC to be 442ms. The peak value was 511ms.1 Comment -
I am hoping you can tell me whether ectopic beats are excluded from the average value given for HRV? I can see that HRV is higher for me in strips where an ectopic is evident though I do have other occasional high values where I have no ectopics. I think that ectopics are causing me to see a higher score than perhaps expected.

Hi, just got my Frontier X and used it for my Tempo cycle into work. Happy with the data. Is it recommended to wear the device during rest (to possibly get a users baseline metrics) as well or only for exercise sessions?
Thanks Fidel Gonzalez

Hello, during runs (especially above 130-140bpm) I see high QTc values (>500ms) which is at the “Risk” region. Does “Risk” means that it it something that needs to be checked, or it is a normal calculation margin of error on high pulses? I dont know if anyone else see similar patterns.

I can’t view the other comment, but the QTc prolongation that you describe is very likely due to an under-correction for heart rate. QT is exquisitely rate-dependent and shortens as heart rate increases. However, due to the QT rate-dependence, a formula is used to approximate the QTc (QT corrected) at a reference heart rate, usually 60 bpm in…Read More

I forgot to ask, are these readings anything to be overly concerned about?
