What can I do to reduce artifacts on my recordings (“poor data”)?

    • To help reduce motion artefacts and ensure good data quality, please try the following tips:
      • Make sure the device is snapped securely onto the strap and does not feel loose or make any sound when shaken.
      • Wet the shiny, skin-facing sensors on the strap with a few drops of water before wearing it. In cold weather, the skin can be dry and may not be conductive enough, so moistening the sensors helps ensure better signal quality.
      • Wear the strap snugly around your chest—tight enough to stay in place, but still comfortable. Especially during activities involving intense motion, such as running or swimming, ensure the strap is tight enough so it does not slip down during the activity.
If you are an active individual using the device regularly, please wash the strap once a week or two by following the instructions: https://fourthfrontier.tawk.help/article/19-sanitization-procedure
