As a healthy female amateur cyclist in my early 60s my cardiac strain is usually around 0.12 max and 0.06 average over distances of around 50km cycle and on occasion close to 100km. I have no discomfort cycling and the summary indicates that the average strain is minimal. The max strain measurements of 1.2 are short lived and look like a small spike. Occasionally there are two or three spikes of this magnitude in a ride. Is the summary consistent with the data as described above and in line with minimal strain indicated in the summary?

Occasional spikes are very unlikely to be significant, especially if they’re not associated with any symptoms like chest pain, breathlessness palpitations, dizziness or unusual fatigue. A simple way to check this on a ride is to set a CS upper limit alert at 0.18mv, and only modify your exercise intensity if you get 3 buzzes in a row, or if you get 1 buzz and are feeling any of the above symptoms.
