I cycle at altitude in low humidity on a regular basis and had serious issues with signal quality – particularly when going downhill at high speeds. I have largely solved the problem by using a combination of Spectra 360 Electrode Gel and industrial anti-static spray called ACL Staticide 2003 – both inexpensive on Amazon. For the static spray I spray a cloth and wipe it on the strap and Frontier X after I put it on and then I spray the outside of my shirt over where the strap is located.
